« I don’t see the point of applying for RDWS. »
Declaring a disability helps shatter stereotypes.
RQTH offers you rights and benefits
The Recognition of Disabled Worker Status (RDWS) helps break down stereotypes by addressing the topic differently with one’s professional circle. Declaring it is not mandatory, but this voluntary step can help secure your career path, thanks to support and adaptation measures (integration, career guidance, job retention).
RDWS assists individuals whose disability affects their employment or working conditions (fatigue, pain, distraction).
With RDWS, you can obtain accommodations, a listening ear, and legal support
Enhanced employee protection, assistance with job retention or reintegration
Workplace adaptations by an ergonomist, flexible schedules, etc.
Support from specialized organizations (AGEFIPH, FIPHFP, Cap Emploi, etc.)
Access to tailored information, age-unrestricted access to apprenticeships
Access to skill assessments and professional orientation support
Consideration possibility for the retirement benefit calculations
Medical confidentiality
Financial support according to the type of disability
Financial support for ergonomic equipment
